SCOTT REED, CEO
Scott is a firm principal and serves as CEO. He has been in the investment industry since 1985 and dedicated the first 21 years of his career to the brokerage firm J.J.B. Hilliard, W.L. Lyons, Inc, where he met future partner John C. Hardy. During Scott’s last five years at Hilliard Lyons, he managed the brokerage’s Mississippi operations.
A Certified Investment Management Analyst SM and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary AnalystSM Scott also earned the Endowments and Foundations Certificate at the Wharton School of Business in 2006. He gives back to his industry as a member of the National Council on Planned Giving, the Planned Giving Council of Northeast Mississippi, and the Investment Management Consultants Association. He also pens a financial column, which launched in 1995 and is still in syndication today.
A life-long resident of Tupelo, Mississippi, Scott currently serves on the boards of the North Mississippi Medical Center, the United Methodist Foundation, the Yocona Area of the Boy Scouts of America, the Frank and Calla Bell Foundation, and the Bancorp South Arena Commission. He is a past president of the United Way of Northeast Mississippi and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Mississippi.
Scott and his wife, Annette, have two wonderfully active girls.
